IONIA, Uncertain. Circa 550-500 BC. AR Obol(?) (8mm, 0.92 g). Head of calf left / Quadripartite incuse square. CNG E-303, lot 46; otherwise, unpublished in the standard references. Toned, light porosity. VF.

Although unpublished, the style of the calf is very similar to that on the obverses of an electrum issue at Phokaia (cf. Bodenstedt em. 21) and the reverse of an electrum issue at Mytilene (cf. Bodenstedt em. 12).
