'ATYPICAL' COINS, Edessa type. Caracalla. AD 198-217. AR Tetradrachm (27mm, 13.88 g, 11h). Laureate and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / Eagle standing facing, head and tail right, with wings spread, holding wreath in beak; small shrine between legs. Prieur 1722 (same dies). Lightly toned, some porosity, flan flaw on reverse. VF. Extremely rare – only one known to Prieur.
