'ATYPICAL' COINS, Laodicea type. Elagabalus. AD 218-222. BI Tetradrachm (25mm, 11.09 g, 12h). Laureate head right / Eagle standing facing, head and tail left, with wings spread, holding wreath in beak; crude six-pointed star between legs; Δ Є across fields. Cf. Prieur 1735. Some roughness. Good VF. Extremely rare, this coin was not part of the Prieur collection at the time of his book's publication.
