'ATYPICAL' COINS, Laodicea type. Elagabalus. AD 218-222. BI Tetradrachm (24mm, 9.67 g, 11h). Laureate bust right, drapery on shoulder / Eagle standing facing, head and tail right, with wings spread, holding wreath in beak; five-pointed star between legs; retrograde C Δ across fields. Cf. Prieur 1735. A few deposits. VF. Extremely rare, this coin was not part of the Prieur collection at the time of his book's publication.
