MACEDON. Neapolis. Circa 375-350 B.C. AR hemidrachm. 1.7 gm. 15 mm. Gorgoneion facing with protruding tongue / Head of the nymph of Neapolis to right, her hair coiled around her head with a bun at the back; ΝΕΟΠ to right. HGC 3, 588. SNG ANS 455-459. Very Fine; old toning; small old scratch on cheek on obverse; strong strike, resulting in two small striking splits. Lovely style and type.

From the BCD Collection, bought in Tbilisi (Georgia) in August 1998, found on the northeast coast of the Black Sea.
