Elizabeth II "Multi-Ply Steel" 25 Cents 2000-P MS65 PCGS, Royal Canadian Mint, cf. KM376 (nickel). The twelve-coin series for the year 2000 focused on the hopes and dreams of the future: Canadians' vision of our culture, exploration, science and technology for the third millennium. During the latter half of 2000 two coins, Creativity and Community, were struck using multi-ply plated steel planchets, and obverse dies with the "P" composition mark. Charlton notes only five certified. For comparison, we note that a Choice BU graded, uncertified example sold in Auction 419, Lot 50455 for $8,050.00, including Buyer's Premium.
