Mildenberg-3 (O3/R1); Meshorer-234a; Hendin-1384. Obverse: "Sma" (abbreviated "Simon") across field; all within wreath with eight almonds; Reverse: Flagon with handle; palm frond to right; "Eleazar the Priest" around. Overstruck on an uncertain drachm or denarius, this rather RARE undated issue from early on in year two features a hybrid of types, with the reverse being a holdover from zuzim attributed to year one, and the obverse being a type introduced in year two. Lightly toned, with a few minor flan flaws and typical striking weakness in spots.
