Mildenberg-166 (O21/R86); Meshorer-277; Hendin-1431. Obverse: Grape bunch on vine; "Simon" around; Reverse: Two upright trumpets; "for the freedom of Jerusalem" around. Exhibiting only the slightest degree of light wear, this charmingly toned example offers a strike of good centering along with just minor weakness in spots. The undertype is a denarius of Titus as augustus, likely featuring Bonus Eventus on the reverse.
