Cr-35/1; Syd-72; TV-51a. Obverse: Bearded head of Janus on raised disk; Reverse: Prow of galley right; I (mark of value) above; all on raised disk. A pleasing, problem free example of this large cast bronze denomination, becoming more difficult to encounter. Dark brown surfaces, with some hints of red and green. Some typical, minor casting pits on the reverse. A wonderful opportunity to acquire a weighty, impressive issue from the Roman Republic.
