TRAJAN, A.D. 98-117. AE Sestertius (25.37 gms), Rome Mint, ca. A.D. 107-110. Choice Very Fine.
Woytek-314b; RIC-569. Obverse: Laureate bust right, with slight drapery; Reverse: Arched, single-span bridge across the Danube River; single-bay arches at each end, surmounted by statues; in river below, boat sailing left. A captivating architectural type, this charming sestertius exhibits light brown surfaces with some hints of green, but a minor degree of tooling noticeable in the laurel wreath on Trajan's head. Nevertheless, a wonderful opportunity for the collector of architectural or nautical types to add a difficult piece to their collection.

NGC has determined that this coin has been tooled, and thus is not appropriate for certification.

Estimate: $1200.00- $1800.00
