Obverse: Baptism scene, with infant surrounded by allegories of Faith, Love, and Hope; rayed Eye of Providence above; John the Baptist baptizing Jesus Christ in the River Jordan; God observing from the clouds, from which dove emerges. A lustrous and charmingly struck example, and quite SCARCE, especially so nice.
