GERMANY. Saxe-Weissenfels. Reichstaler (Taler), 1686-SQ. Weissenfels. Johann Adolf I. NGC Unc Details--Obverse Graffiti.
Dav-7663; KM-20. A rather RARE piece, this represents our first such offering of the type, one which is incredibly difficult to locate in grades approaching Mint State as here. Some unfortunate scratches on the obverse in the form of a collector's number appear vertically in the field, along with some other stray marks. Also included is a previous NGC insert, where it was graded simply as AU-55.

An attractive and alluring religious type, featuring Jesus as the Good Shepherd, holding a crozier and supporting a lamb upon his back, signifying him leading his flock to salvation.

From the Linda Collection.

Estimate: $2000.00- $3000.00
