GERMANY. Silesia-Liegnitz-Brieg. Ducat, 1661-EW. Brieg Mint. Christian. NGC VF Details--Holed.
3.19 gms. Fr-3208; KM-461. Obverse: Crowned bust right; Reverse: Coat-of-arms with three helmets, legend reading: SUFFICIT MIHI GRA-TIA TUA DOMINE. Despite the past hole and subsequent break, the important details remain legible. EXTREMELY RARE as a type, with the last offering of the broader type, which shows an entirely different reverse legend, bringing €2900 hammer in a 2004 Kunker auction. That appearance, while admittedly much nicer, highlights the rarity of this piece even more. As such, any serious German gold collector should jump at the opportunity to acquire this issue, as the opportunity may not present itself again for ages.

From the Estate of Ray H Corvin.

Estimate: $700.00- $1000.00
