GERMANY. Speyer. 1/2 Taler, 1770-AS. Damian August Philipp Karl von Limburg-Vehlen-Styrum. NGC MS-64.
KM-68. Struck for the accession of Damian August Philipp. Featuring dark, original toning with bold luster in the protected areas. The appearance further benefits from a bold strike, with legends that are complete and central designs that rise prominently from the flat fields. The now-legendary pedigree should serve as "icing on the cake" for the potentially-interested collector.
The bishop also issued a 10 Kreuzer, 1/8 Taler, 1/4 Taler, Taler and Ducat for this event. Coinage ceased after 1772.
