60 mm. Kienast-576. Obverse: French and German generals meet in the railway carriage where the French forced the Germans to sign the armistice on November 11, 1918; Reverse: Legend announces the reversal of the German "tragedy" of 1918. Issued to celebrate the signing of the French-German armistice in Compiègne in June 1940; Edge: BAYER. HAUPTMÜNZAMT. FEINSILBER. Attractively preserved with few instances of handling and light tone in the design recesses. A RARE type in this larger format.
