BRITANNIARUM REX F.D." with the initials "B.P." below the truncation; Reverse: George IV seated left crowned by Victory from behind, depicted before him are Britannia, Hibernia, and Scotia; legend "PROPIO JAM JURE ANIMO PATERNO" with "INAUGURATUS DIE. JULII. XIX ANNO MDCCCXXI" in exergue. VERY RARE quality for this often-mishandled issue, displaying extreme depth within the reflective fields and thick frost over the high relief designs on both sides. A truly wonderful example of this magnificent production, worthy of the finest collection of rarities from this ultra-desirable period in British numismatics.
