KM-103; Cal-Type 146#776; Gil-M-8-5; FC-3a. Small crown, two moldings atop pillars, Dot above assayer's letters. RARE. This is the second year of issue for milled reales, during a time when the mint was experimenting with the arrangement of design elements, resulting in many significant varieties. This particular example is highly presentable, free of blemishes, and exhibits pleasing original surfaces with dark gray toning. An ever popular date with a great pedigree that is sure to draw a great deal of bidding interest.
