KM-377.11; DP-Oa10. A in O mintmark. Our first offering of this RARE date, the present piece. Dunigan and Parker (p. 329) explain how this coin is an 1863/8, not 1868/3. Sharply struck and very lustrous, with some evidence of planchet streaking on the reverse. For completeness, some concentrated scuffs are noted above the '8R.'
