PARAGUAY. Bronze 10 Reales Pattern, 1864. NGC MS-61 Brown.
cf.KM-Pn11; Pratt-M41. VERY RARE. Struck from the same broken obverse die as plate coin in Pratt. This die paring is also shared by the silver version of this pattern that appeared in the Heritage January NYINC 2018 auction Lot # 31202, only a later die state of both dies. An attractive example exhibiting lots of character that displays large die cracks with die filling across the sharp intricate details. Lovely chocolate brown colored semi-reflective fields with darker areas amongst the devices accentuated by blue iridescence. Certain to see spirited bidding from world pattern or type collectors.
