KM-171; Allen-14.02. A remarkable premium Gem, offering an alluring tone and sparkling iridescence. Across both services, the present example is tied with two other pieces, with just one graded finer. One of the other two at this level is the Eliasberg specimen and, in the opinion of this cataloger, is inferior to the our coin despite both being PCGS MS-66. The Eliasberg coin, which sold in 2007 for a hammer of $12,000, doesn't come close to offering the same colorful palette or vibrancy.
