Honeycutt-315; Basso-153. Struck to commemorate the entry into Manila of the 22nd Quartermaster Corps on February 11, 1942, but written "2602.2.11". Obverse: Map of the Philippines, Japanese inscription; Reverse: Island view of Philippines with Japanese flag on flagpole, vertical line of Japanese characters left, Japanese symbol within house, Japanese Zero's above. A SCARCE medal in high grade with a nice look. Attractive light grey tone in the open fields with slate amongst the devices and in the peripherals.
