Honeycutt-319a; Basso-160. Without suspension loop. Obverse: Scene of Bataan with Japanese flag and three war planes in flight, "SOUVENIR" above flag, date of "APR 9, 1942" below flag; Reverse: Blank. The date on the obverse is significant since it marks the first day of the Bataan Death March. An attractive well made and preserved example exhibiting mottled tan and slate patina. A RARE medal that in choice condition sure to be a welcome addition to the next collection it enters.
