42.0 gms. Honeycutt-321; Basso-165. Mintage: 2,000. Thin planchet variety. Struck to commemorate the appointment of Laurel to the "Puppet" Presidency of the Philippines by the Japanese. Obverse: Bust of Jose Laurel facing left, "JOSE PACIANO LAUREL" above; Reverse: Flag of the Philippines, legend above, date below. A sharply struck and highly attractive example with lovely mottled milk chocolate, cinnamon and mocha patina. Another mint state of this scarce medal in uncommon condition and as such should be considered VERY RARE. A fine example certain to catch the attention of the discerning collector.
