KYRENAICA. Septet of Bronze denominations (7 Pieces), ca. 3rd Century B.C. FINE to VERY FINE.
A pleasing mix of denominations from the Koinon of Kyrenaica (4), along with a few contemporary Ptolemaic issues (3). The Kyrenaican coins all feature the famous silphium plant on their reverses, long since harvested into extinction. All exhibit mostly green patinas with some brighter orange earthen highlights. An excellent dealer or study lot. Close examination is encouraged.
