RIC-171a; RSC-144. Obverse: Bare head right; Reverse: Apollo of Actium standing left, holding plectrum and lyre. A deeply toned example of this type which commemorates Augustus' victory over Mark Antony at the battle of Actium. A minor flan flaw in the reverse field is noted merely for completeness.
