MIB-N36; COI-37 var. (star on rev.). In the name of Byzantine emperor Justinian I. Obverse: Diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Justinian right; Reverse: Victory advancing right, head left, holding wreath and globus cruciger; CONOB. A rare and attractive example of this imitative type, lacking the typical star in the reverse field. Compare to another piece without the star in Roma E-26 (4/2016) Lot #1048.
