Obverse: Blue field upon which rests a slightly raised white design as follows: VIVRE LIBRE OU MOURIR, fasces surmounted by Phrygian cap, surrounded by three lis; all within brass setting, with loop attached at back. For a similar piece with suspension loop attached at the top, see the British Museum's online collection, part of the "Franks.395" grouping. Attractive and highly interesting.
