GERMANY. Wurzburg. Schilling, 1688. Johann Gottfried II. NGC MS-66.
KM-198. This exceptionally preserved Gem has escaped appreciable friction over the past 330 years and remains brilliant and lustrous. Traces of die polishing around the devices have created considerable prooflike reflectivity in the fields, contrasting the more richly frosted design elements. A truly remarkable jewel from the 17th century that is certainly one of the finest known. It should be noted that the coin is only loosely secured within the NGC holder.
Estimate: $200.00- $300.00
