PHILIPPINES. Mint Error -- Curved Clip -- 50 Centavos, 1944-S. San Francisco Mint. NGC MS-63.
KM-183; Allen-15.01. A 10% curved clip the spans from 2 o'clock to 5 o'clock on the obverse and completely omits the legend AMERICA on the opposite side. The remaining surfaces are intensely lustrous and faintly toned in hints of bronze patina. A dramatic and scarce error for this larger denomination.
