POLAND. Quartet of Medals (4 Pieces), 1709-1936. Grade Range: VF to UNCIRCULATED.
1) AUGUST II silver Medal, 1709. Commemorating the alliance of the kings of Poland, Prussia, and Denmark against Sweden. By Groskurt. HCz-2641. VERY FINE, cleaned with fields chased, some edge marks. Ex: Gorny & Mosch (3/2004) Lot #3898 (where it realized a hammer of €280).

2) ALEKSANDER FREDRO bronze Medal, 1864. Commemorating the accomplishments of the poet and dramatist. By Barre. HCz-3890. MINT STATE, warm brown surfaces, with some scattered marks and underlying luster.

3) TADEUSZ KOŚCIUSZKO zinc Medal, 1917. Commemorating the 100th anniversary of the death of the statesman and national hero. By Chudziński. Strzałkowski-412. MINT STATE, charcoal gray matte surfaces.

4) JOZEF ZEF PIŁSUDSKI bronze Medal, 1936. Commemorating the death of the Polish statesman. By Ostrowskiego. Cf. Strzałkowski-808. MINT STATE, pleasing red-brown surfaces.
