The obverse depicts a radiant China in the background, with a much larger Taiwan in the foreground superimposed atop of the rays, legend above "台灣光夏回归衵国五十周年纪念" (Táiwān guāng xià huíguī yì guó wǔshí zhōunián jìniàn [Commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the return of Taiwan]). The reverse depicts the iconic scene of the Great Wall of China with legend above "中华人民共和国" (Zhōnghuá rénmín gònghéguó[People's Republic of China]). An attractive large format issue with a minuscule mintage displaying frosted devices in stark contrast to the hard mirrored fields. Free of tone, haze or fog.
