L&M-406; KM-K-974; WS-0897. Issued by the Changsha Firm of Chien-I. Second finest certified of the date at either NGC or PCGS with only one finer (NGC-MS63). Though technically not as high of a grade as the NGC MS63 we sold in our March Hong Kong 2019 auction lot #60171, it is the opinion of this cataloger to be a superior example. Exhibiting a better strike where each character on both the obverse and reverse is fully struck up and clearly defined with attractive old envelope tone. A lustrous and highly attractive representative of the type sure to see spirited bidding from the specialist.
