CHINA. Kwangtung. 7 Mace 2 Candareens (Dollar), ND (1890-1908). NGC SPECIMEN-63.
L&M-133; K-26; KM-Y-203; WS-0941. VERY RARE, this Specimen represents the early production of the "Dragon Dollar" in the form in which is most commonly associated with collectors, that with the English-language legends on the Dragon side and an entirely Chinese-language side with the Imperial titles and regnal date. The present offering presents extremely well in hand, with superbly-detailed devices set upon reflective fields beset by a smattering of light chatter. Bright silver surfaces carry from the centers all the way out to the peripheries where a faint golden tone has just begun to take hold.
