CHINA. Foreign Inspection Silver Medal, ND (1910). NGC UNC Details--Mount Removed, Scratches.
Dollar-sized medal, 39 mm, with dragon facing obverse and three stars below, script above, and reverse with wreath enclosing letters, script above. A well struck and dark gray toned medal with expertly removed mount (visible only along the edge).

This medal was issued by the Chief of the Imperial Chinese General Staff Prince Tsai T'ao (Zaitao) in Year 2 of Hsuan-t'ung (1910). It was awarded to military officers in the countries which the general visited during military inspection trips (which included Germany, Great Britain, Japan, Italy, Russia, the United States, and Australia). Tsai T'ao was an uncle of Pu-Yi, the last emperor of China.
