Gill-S13. 40mm. An above average example of this popular and quite large gold issue, struck to commemorate the accession of Haile Salassie although noted by Gill that it was likely produced a little later in Salassie's reign. The present example retains significant hard luster and a lovely olive patina sheathing the lightly marked surfaces.
