This spectacular lot contains the M5b 5 yen which is just the third we have handled for the catalog number and shows in a larger format similar to the other Yen denominated notes in the series. Different color under-prints and bordering design with a black primary design found on each. Facing cockerels at top center and dragons below. Back shown with text at the left and right margins and ovular design at center and circular seal below. M1a in AU53, M2a in AU58Q, M3a in AU55, M4a in CVF35 and M5b, the highlight of the lot, found in V30. All notes are comment free save for the M2a which has noted exceptional paper quality on the holder.
