CHINA. Szechuan-Tibet. Rupee, ND (1939-42). PCGS EF-40 Gold Shield; Countermark: VERY FINE.
L&M-364; WS-0774; KM-Y-3.3 (for host coin). Host coin large bust variety with collar and vertical rosette. Chinese and Tibetan countermark "Li Yong Lam" within rectangular indent applied to obverse field just below chin. Countermark somewhat unevenly applied obscuring the Tibetan character, but with clear Chinese inscription. Overall a handsome circulated example exhibiting light grey patina with areas of dark encrustation amongst the devices.
