CHINA. Gold and Silver Proof Set (2 Pieces), 1981. Xinhai Revolution 70th Anniversary. PROOF.
cf. KM-51. Proof set commemorating the anniversary of the 1911 Revolution and Birth of Republic of China. Includes a silver medal, 14 gms., and gold medal, 13.4 gms., with facing portraits of Sun Yat-sen. Both proofs appear to be slightly impaired though without much in the way of field marks, and have retained highly reflective fields and frosted devices. The gold medal has a stated mintage of 6,000, while the silver proof is stated as 15,000. Sold in original display case of issue with certificates of authenticity (#907 for the gold proof).
