Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Venus in Taurus (night house): Diademed and draped bust of Aphrodite (Venus) left; [star of eight rays] before her; below, bull butting left; [L H] (date) to either side of bull. Köln 1492-3 var. (obv. legend and type); Dattari (Savio) 2959; K&G 35.280 var. (obv. legend and type); Emmett 1450.8. Dark green patina with touches of red, some light earthen highlights/deposits. Good Fine. Rare variety with Pius' bust laureate, draped, and cuirassed.
