Zeno. Second reign, AD 476-491. AV Solidus (20mm, 4.49 g, 6h). Contemporary imitation. Imitating Constantinople mint, 10th officina. Pearl-diademed, helmeted, and cuirassed bust facing slightly right, holding spear over shoulder and shield / Victory standing left, holding long, jeweled cross; star to right; I//CONO(retrograde C). Cf. RIC X 911; cf. Depeyrot 108/1. Wavy flan, some scratches and marks. VF. Wonderfully crude.
