ARABIA, Northwestern. Lihyan. 2nd–1st centuries BC. Æ Drachm (19.5mm, 4.17 g, 3h). Imitating Athens. Helmeted head of Athena left, with frontal eye; upward crescent on cheek / Owl standing left, head facing; olive sprig and crescent to right. Cf. Huth, Athenian, fig. 5, e = Huth 40 (Æ tetradrachm, types right); Savoca London Auction 1, lot 117; otherwise unpublished in the standard references. Brown surfaces. VF. Extremely rare.
