JUDAEA, Aelia Capitolina (Jerusalem). Diadumenian. As Caesar, AD 217-218. AR Tetradrachm (27mm, 13.42 g, 12h). Bareheaded, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Eagle standing facing on [thyrsus], head and tail right, with wings spread, holding wreath in beak; wine jar (amphora) between legs. Prieur 1647; cf. Meshorer, Aelia 100; Sofaer –; CNG E-445, lot 354. Toned, light porosity, traces of underlying luster. VF. Extremely rare, only one known to Prieur, and one in CoinArchives.
