LYDIAN KINGDOM. Croesus (561-546 BC). AV sixth-stater or hecte (9mm, 1.76 gm). NGC VF 5/5 - 4/5. Sardes, 'heavy' standard, ca. 561-550 BC. Confronted foreparts of lion on left and bull on right, each with extended foreleg / Two incuse square punches of unequal size, side-by-side, with rough interior. Walburg Group III. Berk 9.7. Babylon Traité I 400. Very rare in the heavy series.
