LYDIAN KINGDOM. Croesus (561-546 BC). AV stater (15mm, 8.06 gm). NGC Choice Fine 5/5 - 4/5. Sardes, 'Light' standard, ca. 561-546 BC. Confronted foreparts of lion right and bull left, each with outstretched foreleg / Two incuse square punches of unequal size. Carradice 8. BMFA 2073. SNG von Aulock 2875. An attractive example that seems worthy of the "About Very Fine" grade given in the Goldberg sale.
