CYPRUS. Citium. King Pumiathon (ca. 362-312 BC). AV hemistater (12mm, 4.13 gm, 5h). NGC Choice XF 3/4 - 4/5. Dated Regnal Year 8 (355/4 BC). Heracles advancing right, holding club overhead, bow in left hand, lion-skin draped over extended left arm; ankh before / 'of king Pumiathon' (Aramaic), lion right, devouring fallen stag right; year 8 (date) to right. D-G 12 (dies 6/8 – this coin); Tziambazis 36; BMC 75–8 var. (date); Pozzi 2882 (same dies). A rare and well pedigreed example of a coin that seldom appears on the market.
