D N THEODO-SIVS P F AVG, pearl-diademed, helmeted, cuirassed bust of Theodosius II facing slightly right, spear in right hand over shoulder, shield decorated with horseman motif in left / GLOR ORVI-S TERRAR, Theodosius II standing facing, labarum in right hand with X on banner, globus cruciger in left; star in left field, TESOB• in exergue. Die break across exergue. RIC X 365. Depeyrot 51/1 var. (pellet in exergue). Rare issue with pellet in exergue. Attractive, bright surfaces.
