George V Penny 1925-(m) MS64 Brown PCGS, Melbourne mint, KM23. Conditionally speaking, the rarest date in the Australian Penny series, aside from the nearly unattainable 1930. This issue is virtually never found in such high-grade condition, and displays an attractive brown patina, darker on the obverse, and vibrant luster. We note that this exact coin previously sold for 15,000 AUD in a Noble Numismatics Sale (Auction 112, Lot 3234). A scarce issue, especially rare in Mint State.
