João V gold 10000 Reis 1726-M MS60 NGC, Minas Gerais mint, KM116, Fr-34. A lightly toned example with bold, nicely struck features and good underlying mint luster. An unusual feature of this and other issues from Minas Gerais is the way in which the numbers and letters were cut, with interesting embellishments. Note here especially the way the number 2 in the date has been engraved.
