Lower Canada. Bank of Montreal "Side View" Penny Token 1839 AU Details (Cleaned) NGC, Br-523, LC-11B, Courteau-38. Coin alignment. "Bank of Montreal" on ribbon. Minor contact marks and hairlines. The strike is nice for the issue, but we do not think this piece has been cleaned. It seems to have the original color remaining. A very rare issue.
