Kweichow. Republic "Auto" Dollar Year 17 (1928) XF40 PCGS, KM-Y428, L&M-609. Two blades of grass variety. Struck during the 17th year of the Republic by Chow Hsi Chien, the Governor of Kweichow province, to commemorate the completion of the Provincial highway in Kweichow. It is purported that the car featured in the design was meant to represent the Governor's personal automobile. An attractive example with light overall toning, deeper shades surrounding the legends and design.
